Throwback Thursday: Another Quick Look at Noodlers Ahab + J. Herbin Stormy Grey

While flipping through my old ink testing notes for potential Throwback Thursday features, I came across another one involving Noodler's Flex pens and Stormy Grey. In my previous two TBT's (here and here), I had wrote about my initial impressions of this combo. So, I thought it would be good to close the loop on this theme.

This Ahab is frustrating to flex. Railroads like crazy. the Stormy Grey sparkles are dazzling. I think it's interesting.

Closing Comments
Three times is a charm, right? I recall that the first couple of trials of Stormy Grey were not that successful from a glitter/sheen perspective. But this time, I almost have an overload of glitter. There should be a fine balance in this. I definitely find working with Stormy Grey to be tricky...I have to keep rotating or shaking the pen to keep the sparkles suspended. Once I do this, I have much more consistency in the glitter level on the page.
