Throwback Thursday: Quick Look at Lamy 2000 + Diamine Onyx Black

This summer is going by fast and September is just around the bend. With this in mind, I thought I would ease into the season of restraint and routines with a look back at this Lamy 2000 and Diamine Onyx Black combination.

Handwritten Review

Pen: Lamy 2000 EF
Ink: Diamine Onyx Black
Paper: Rhodia No. 16 Grid

The ink is black.
Yet has a brownish maroon undertone.
I really like it.
It is mysterious yet sophisticated.
Well behaved.
Not much shading.
It's a dark ink.
Nice.

Really like this ink, well behaved.

Diamine Onyx Black was an ink I tried back in the Goulet Ink Drop days. I only tried the one sample vial. It's black. I don't have much to say about it as you can tell from the handwritten sample.

I will say though, as I'm looking at the writing sample now, it still has that brownish undertone. So it's not a straight up black. If I didn't already have Noodler's Raven Black in my ink collection, I would consider picking up a bottle of this ink. I just don't use black inks often so the one bottle more than serves me adequately already.
